Community Traditions
Every year we have community events to get the student out of their rooms and outside! These community events give students a chance to socialize with other students that may not live on their floor! We also have one community event in the spring semester that include all three residential colleges! This is a fun way to allow the student to intermingle and make new friends!
Community Dinner
Community Dinners embrace the culture of family in TRC. We have community dinners twice a month on Sunday evenings.
Tri-College Tournament
Tri-College Tournament is an annual competition between Baylor’s three residential colleges. The tournament usually features volleyball, soccer, and ultimate frisbee in addition to an egg toss and tug-of-war. Our community has taken the trophy for many years!
Cardboard Regatta
As one of the most anticipated events of the year, cardboard regatta features two-person boats, built only from cardboard and duct tape! They race their handmade boats across the Brazos river at Baylor’s marina. Awards are given to the overall winner (or fastest team), best theme, most spirited, and the Titanic award (for best sinking).
Formal
Every year Teal residents get dressed up and enjoy one night of dancing and fellowship. Hosted at a local venue in Waco, this event is always a great time!
